“A Crack in the Sky”
Great work. I love this world — Pope of Greenwich Village… I’ve been here a few times… As we speak, I’m finishing a doc for HBO on Dr. Dre and Jimmy Iovine, who was from Ray Sharkey’s hood… Will think about this when I come up for air… Thanks so much!
You had one hell of a wild pre-military life. Well written, a great story. It’s a movie or a mini-series. Too fast for a series. It is made most believable and not just another mob fiction because it is true. Cheers!
I believe this is a wonderful story that is focused on the theme of Reno’s redemption as he returns to his “past” to discover his future. I would love the opportunity to produce and line produce this feature for you.
TV Pilots
“Bobbi and Olivia”
“Chicago Style” is a fun read and certainly has potential. It seems like a very commercial effort full of young, attractive and diverse characters in a unique set-up. It’s much more like “Friends” in tone, certainly not a bad thing. I wish great good fortune to Joe and Staci. It’s a well conceived and written example of this genre.
I read “Chicago Style” and loved it! Really nice read all the way around. I just finished shooting 4 pilots and this was better or on par with all of them. I hope you’re getting lots of attention with it.
It was my pleasure talking about the possibilities for your script! Your list is great — I would love to carve out some time to think of some acting choices as well. It’s a terrific script with awesome characters — worth fighting the good fight for!
I really enjoyed the script. Very funny and well written. Terrific characters.
“Bobbi & Olivia” is a fun, easy read. The premise is great and I love the quirky, strong leading ladies. Many different story lines could be explored throughout a series. I’m sure you’ll do well with the Pilot.
TV Pilots
“The Dirty River” & “Phoenix Rising”
I’ve attached two pilot treatments by my friend Joe Gironda and his writing partner Staci Greason. I find both pieces to be very well-written with a definite AMC feel. “Phoenix Rising” strikes me as a female Breaking Bad, while “The Dirty River” explores every side of the border crisis with an intriguing ensemble of characters. Joe’s a dear friend and a tireless worker. I’d love to help him get these projects to a producer who’d champion them.
